The Team

Roger graduated from the University of Kent in 1992 with a degree in Mathematics and Economics. He qualified first time as a Chartered Accountant with Wilson Green (now Simmons Gainsford LLP), and won the HAT prize for the May 1994 Intermediate sitting. After qualifying, Roger moved to Moores Rowland, then Lubbock Fine (both non HAT) before joining Bird Luckin's Brentwood office in July 2000. He moved to their Rayleigh office in 2002, and was the resident R.I. in that office before joining HAT in July 2004.

Roger's major areas of responsibility are:

• Writing technical manuals
• Technical help line
• Writing HAT CPD courses
• Writing HAT quarterly meetings
• Writing technical element of bimonthly HAT Newsletter and HAT Specialist Newsletters
• Carrying out quality control file reviews
• Undertaking hot file reviews on high risk and listed clients
• QAD and Practice Assurance / Quality Checked support

Hobbies & Interests

Roger's hobbies include spending time with his young daughter, following Southampton football club and playing the occasional round of golf.
