Career Development Courses
In addition to the Professional Training that all trainees receive, we also realise that you have to learn how to actually do the job - from preparing accounts and conducting audits to working in a team and managing client relationships. Practical career development courses are therefore designed for all staff, to equip them with the confidence and expertise to deliver the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
The courses are generally a week long, beginning with basic technical knowledge and gradually moving on to more general principles and practices. Each course will tie in to your specific needs at different periods in your development. Although the training is intensive and demanding on these courses, the emphasis is also on enjoyment, and encouragement is given to students to participate in the many evening social events organised.
All courses are written and run by HAT staff and are tailored to the needs of the participants based on HAT's detailed knowledge of the practices. The courses are continually updated to ensure they continue to achieve their objectives. A report is sent back to training partners on all participants detailing how they progressed on the course.
On courses D to G, participants are given time after each session to develop an action plan of what they have to put into practice to become more efficient in the office. The venues for the courses may vary, but the standard of accommodation and food is better the more senior the course. Costs and dates of courses are sent to all training partners by HAT.
